Background

Chef Zoë grew up in Los Angeles and was fortunate to grow up around a multitude of cultures that she best came to know through food. She began her culinary career working under one of the most notable chefs in the city, Neal Fraser where she learned her way around a professional, high volume and fine-dining kitchen.  She moved on to new territory at Colorado State University getting her degree in Hospitality and Business Management. Zoë also began cooking at The Kitchen, a restaurant focused on working closely with small local farms to source all their ingredients. It is here Zoë learned about sustainability in food service and forming close relationships with your community farmers.  She recognizes the importance of knowing the whole process, starting from the seed and ending on your plate. Eventually, she moved back to LA to work for restaurant legends Chef Walter and Margarita Manzke at the increasingly popular restaurant, Republique. For two years, she learned everything she could from Chef Walter and his dedicated team, becoming someone that others quickly recognized as a teacher and force in the kitchen.  

After years of commitment to the Chefs she worked under, gaining experience, passion and a growing creativity, Chef Zoë decided to create her own experience to be enjoyed by the masses.  Breaking away from the confines of a classic French kitchen, Zoë treats food with a whimsical and fun approach. Food is meant to be enjoyed with the loudest of laughter and chatter without fear of annoyance or judgment.  After months of travel through Europe and Southeast Asia, Zoë watched, learned and ate in order to gain the knowledge of flavors that satiated her taste buds so well. Her food can make you feel as though you are a kid in your grandmother's kitchen with your little hand reaching in the bowl for just the smallest taste because you just can’t resist.  She loves the energy of everyone gathered in the kitchen, surrounded by the wonderful aromas of dinner to come.
